Silks

Horse racing silks have a long and storied history that dates back centuries. The history of horse racing silks is intertwined with the evolution of the sport itself. The tradition of wearing specific colours to represent a horse's owner can be traced back to ancient Greece and Rome, where chariot races were popular. During these races, drivers would wear tunics in their respective family colours to differentiate themselves from other competitors.

RibbleDon Racing colours are taken from notable colours of the football teams that the founders all support; Aberdeen, Manchester Utd and Preston North End. Although, the Newton Heath yellow and green have been used to create a bright colouring.
